Occupational Therapist

AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) that is available for the 2024/2025 school year.

Occupational Therapist (OT) Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from an accredited college or university, Master’s Degree a plus.
• CA Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L)
• Great communication skills with parents, students, and team members
• 1+ years of relevant experience; successful therapy experience in educational setting preferred.
• Ability to uphold board policies and follow administrative procedures

Job Description:

• Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location
  • Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
• Contract through the 2024/2025 school year – 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• Contract follows the academic district calendar

Occupational Therapist (OT) Duties:

• Evaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
• Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed.
• Document all patient care in accordance with department policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.

Salary:

• $2,400-$3,120/week based on 40 hours
