Paraprofessional

AB Staffing is looking for Paraprofessional that are available for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Experience working with students with behavioral or special needs
• Right Response training (or CPI, PBIS, or similar behavior intervention training)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or certification preferred)Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Job Description:

• Caseload and details of position will differ based on school location
  • Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset
• Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 32.5 to 40 hours per week
• Contract follows the academic district calendar

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students under the supervision of a teacher or specialist
• Assist in implementing behavior plans and support strategies
• Help manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors in a safe and respectful manner
• Support academic instruction and social-emotional learning
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
• Document observations and communicate regularly with staff

Salary:

• $748 – $975 per week
