personnel as well as providing opportunities for our corporate employees to serve in and around Gilbert, Arizona. This year we are pleased that we’ve been able to strengthen communities through our volunteer work.
Love Society – Mother’s Day – May 7th
AZ nonprofit foundation that believes in building relationships and experiences with those they donate to. Love Society hosts multiple events throughout the year donating to children and families struggling with cancer, homelessness, and human trafficking.
AB Staffing was able to donate nail polishes and socks for the Mother’s Day event! The event hosted moms and their children on a relaxing day filled with spa treatments and Mother’s Day crafts.
Feed My Starving Children – May 18th
Feeding kids. Feeding spirits. Empowering communities. FMSC provides nutritious meals to children worldwide. Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria, and undernutrition. FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development.
In the short two hours, our volunteers were able to fill, seal, and hand pack 21 boxes of ManaPacks. The entire volunteer group was able to pack 175 boxes or 27,800 meals, meaning food for an entire year for 103 kids! Meals were shipped out to Liberia and Nicaragua.
Love Society – Back to School Drive – July 8th
We donated to another Love Society event for back to school. The event was held for children living in extreme poverty and allowed them to shop through a variety of back-to-school items to prepare for the upcoming year. AB Staffing was able to show support by donating 70 backpacks from which the kids could choose.
United Food Bank – July 13th
United Food Bank’s mission is to unite communities to alleviate hunger in Arizona. They are proudly distributing 50,000 meals daily, helping feed families, children, and seniors!
Our AB Staffing volunteers packed dry goods such as beans, rice, corn, etc. into over 1,000 bags that will be distributed at partner locations across the valley – food pantries, meal sites, after-school youth meal programs, and more!
Gilbert Marathon – November 18th
The Gilbert Marathon supports the Shun the Sun Foundation yearly in its mission to fight skin cancer across the valley. The proceeds from the race are used to donate sunblock to youth groups, educate about skin cancer, and/or give donations to medical facilities such as Phoenix’s Children’s Hospital, Banner Children’s Cancer Clinic, or St. Jude’s.
The AB Staffing team sent out 10 runners to take part in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. In total the event hosted just under 1600 runners.
United Food Bank Food Drive – November 7th – 21st
We are thankful to our amazing team whose support made this year’s United Food Drive a tremendous success. With their collective efforts, we were able to fill 25 boxes to contribute to the United Food Bank before the holidays!
We appreciate all the work of our travelers and our corporate employees in supporting the mission of AB Staffing. More importantly, we are proud to serve the underserved in and around Gilbert, Arizona. We are looking forward to doing even more in 2024!
